Islay is a mirror
She reflects my stirring soul
In the hills and waterfalls
and gloaming glens of old
Ancient souls still wander here
Within this breathing land
Whisp’ring tales upon the wind

she is the story itself"

Hannah Titania grew up on the Isle of Islay on the west coast of Scotland, surrounded by sea, woodland and the old Folklore of the land. She is the Daughter of Fiona Middleton, widely known as 'Fiona of the Seals', and spent her childhood helping to care for rescued seal pups, some of which famously lived in the families bathtubs while they recovered.

Raised beside a place known in folklore as 'The Fairy Hill' and near

an ancient castle said to be haunted, Hannah grew up immersed in stories of fairies, mermaids, and the old traditions of the Scottish landscape.

Today she is an Author who helps support and advocate for the protection of wild animals. Her writing draws on folklore, the natural world and the belief that the wild places of Scotland still hold their own kind of magic.

Hannah was brought up believing in fairies and with a deep love and respect for nature and wildlife. She grew up in a Victorian house on an old estate, surrounded by ancient woodland, lochs and rivers, with the ruins of an old castle nearby.

The estate encompasses a rich variety of habitats, including rugged coastline, peatland, ancient woodland, lochs and rivers. Through her parents’ conservation

precious landscape was protected from development and ultimately recognised and safeguarded as a nature reserve, preserving its wildlife and natural habitats for future generations.

Growing up in this extraordinary environment, Hannah worked alongside her parents on conservation projects and campaigns to protect the seals and the wild landscape they called home.

If you don't believe in fairies, then you've obviously never met Hannah Titania Middleton or set foot on the mystical Scottish Hebridean island of Islay.

Her writing style was loved by our readers, and she certainly brought an extra sprinkling of fairy magic to both magazines. Hannah Titania, really is a true fairy queen.
